Born in New Bedford, a daughter of the late Manuel and Virginia Vieira she was a lifelong resident of the city.
Shirley worked as a packer for Atlantic Coast Seafood, and enjoyed knitting, and watching movies.
She is survived by two daughters: Nancy Lima, and Stella Zimmer and her husband Kurt, all of New Bedford, two grandchildren: Gilbert Lima and Nicole Zimmer, four sisters: Helen Marshall, Gloria Dagnall and her husband David, Virginia Vieira, and Mary Divignon and her husband Raymond, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral arrangements are private and under the direction of the Rock Funeral Home.
