Steven F. Evangelho

Steven F. Evangelho, age 70, of Dartmouth, passed away at home on Saturday, April 16, 2022 following a courageous battle with cancer. He was the beloved husband of Joyce (Nissen) with whom he shared 45 years of marriage.

Born in New Bedford, he was the son of the late Leslie Perry and Dorothy (Brocklehurst) Evangelho.

Mr. Evangelho received an associates degree from Essex Agricultural College in Beverly, MA. He was owner of Evangelho Landscape Design and Construction. He had a love for the outdoors, whether it be camping, fishing, walks along the beach, and driving around in his favorite man toy, his Bobcat. Spending time with his family was very important, especially with his grandchildren whom he adored. Steven was a great husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend, who will be deeply missed by many.

Steven’s family would like to send a special “Thank You” to those who supported him throughout his battle with cancer. This truly meant a lot.

Survivors in addition to his loving wife, Joyce, are his children, Alysson Dinsmore and her husband Scott of Dartmouth, and Emeline Evangelho and her fiancé Rick Morales of New Bedford; five grandchildren, Liam and Meadow Dinsmore and Wilfredo, Freida and RJ Morales; his brother, James Evangelho and his wife Melisa of Fall River; his sisters, Dorothy Boudreaux and her husband Paul of Rochester, and Wendy Rose and her husband Carlos Colley of Dartmouth, and several nieces and nephews.

His visitation will be held at the Calvary Pentecostal Church, 33 Braley Rd., East Freetown, MA on Saturday, May 21, 2022 from 10:00am – 12:00pm, followed by his Celebration of Life Service. For online tributes, please visit our website at www.rock-funeralhome.com
