Susan Marie Ferreira

Susan M. (Leblanc) Ferreira, age 71 of Acushnet, was unexpectedly reunited with her beloved late husband, Roger L. Ferreira, on December 15, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Sue and Roger shared a deep love of life, laughter, and many joyful toasts.

Sue was a devoted mother to Stephanie (Ferreira) Karam and her husband, James Karam, and a proud grandmother to her three cherished “love bugs,” Gabrielle, Amelia, and James Karam. She was a lifelong resident of Acushnet, Massachusetts, and dedicated 30 years of service to the Acushnet Company.

Happiest with the sun on her face and sand beneath her feet, she could light up any room with her moves on the dance floor, and her greatest thrill was finding the perfect outfit, especially if it came with an even better bargain. Family was the heart of Sue’s world. She adored her grandchildren, nieces, and nephews, filling their hearts with laughter, lasting memories, and unwavering support. She was known simply as “Aunty Sue”—a title reserved for those fortunate enough to love her.

Sue is survived by her mother, Yvette Leblanc Rand; her sister, Diane Hardin; her brother, Rene Leblanc, and his wife, Kim. She was predeceased by her father, Gerard Leblanc.

Her Memorial Visitation will be held at St Francis Xavier Parish, located at 125 Main St, Acushnet, MA on December 20, 2025, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. Following the visitation, a Memorial Mass will take place in St. Francis Xavier Parish beginning at 11:00 am. To honor her generous spirit, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the foundation closest to your heart.
