Luke’s Hospital. She was the wife of the late Francis Correia.
Born in Acushnet, daughter of the late Arthur and Grace E. (Hatch) Rowell, she lived most of her life in New Bedford.
Mrs. Correia worked as a trimmer in the local textile industry and was a member of the I.G.L.U.
She was an avid reader, enjoyed crossword puzzles and was very devoted to the Church of the Good Shepherd in Fairhaven.
Survivors include her brother, Arthur Rowell, Jr. of St. Augustine, FL and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Edith Pacheco and Betty Rodrigues.
Her Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, March 22, 2014 at 8:00AM at the Church of the Good Shepherd, 357 Main St., Fairhaven.
