Agnes "Jean" Warren

Agnes "Jean" Warren, 92, of New Bern, passed away on Monday, July 3, 2023. She worked at Craven County Hospital for 30 years as a nursing assistant before retiring to spend later years with her husband. She loved the Lord and often talked about going to church as a child. She stayed in church all of her life and began attending Tree of Life with her daughter and son-in-law several years ago. Jean was always willing to do for others before herself.

Jean was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Luther Edward Warren; her parents, David and Ruby Mayo; brother, James David Mayo; and son-in-law, Richard Lamb.

She leaves behind her beloved family including four daughters, Brenda Lamb, Debra Clark (Osborne), Sherri Toler (Shelton), and Becky Wadford (Bobby); one sister, Sandra Causey (Bruce); eight grandchildren, Ricky Lamb, Sheila Bramante (Bill), Melissa Scott (Carlton), Lorie Smith (Eric), Nathan Toler (Crystal), Holly Civils (Timmy), Eddie Wadford, and Bobby "Little Bob" Wadford; and ten great grandchildren, Brooke, Gabriella, Sofia, Taylor, Emma Claire, Elin, Adilynn, Brinleigh, Layla, and James.

The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 8, 2023 at Tree of Life Ministries, 2111 E Neuse Blvd, New Bern, NC 28560 with funeral service to follow at 11 a.m. with Pastor Paul Lancaster officiating. She will then be laid to rest at Greenleaf Memorial Park.
