Anita Dawn Casey

Anita was always smiling. She loved equally, everyone she met, just like her sweet mama. She was great with children and older people. She had a kind and gentle spirit. When you got her to laughing, which wasn't hard to do, she would laugh hysterically, her laugh was contagious!! She had a love for animals, which could be seen from all the stray ones she took in ;). She was extremely creative, talented and had a love for reading and learning. She helped take care of an elderly lady in her neighborhood, Ms. Sara, for years. She also looked over the woman she loved more than anybody on this earth, her sweet mama. She worked in environmental services with the hospital and in nursing care for years. She will be missed so dearly by so so many, Rest in Peace NeNe.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Jimmy and Gail Casey.

She is survived by her grandmother, Kitty Casey of Stonewall; her brothers Larry Casey and wife Gena, of Wilmington, NC; Jimmy Casey and wife Ronnie, of New Bern; and her nieces and nephews, Lauren and Hunter Blankenship, Owen, Arliss, Jimmy Allen, and Alex Casey.

Visitation will from 6:00-8:00 pm Monday, May 27, 2013 at Cotten Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday, May 28, 2013 at the Cowell Cemetery, Alliance, NC.
