Brian Christopher Rupp

Brian Christopher Rupp, 45, of Grantsboro, passed away on Wednesday, December 18, 2024, following a tragic motorcycle accident due to weather conditions. Brian was born to Jim and Helen Rupp on November 10, 1979, in Virginia, MN.

Those who knew Brian found him to be patient and kind, with a genuine tender side. After graduating from high school, Brian continued his education at Range Technical College, and he graduated with highest honors from a welding program. He began his career as a welder for L & M Radiator and later as a computer draftsman in the engineering department. In 2005 he married his "sweetpea" and in 2016 he began working for US Steel at Mintac. Brian and his wife, Naomi, moved to NC in 2024, where he worked for Nutrien as a diagnostic maintenance technician.

Brian was highly skilled and talented at many different trades with some being self-taught. He especially enjoyed the challenge of working on complicated machines. Brian was proficient in woodworking, cooking, mechanical, electrical, or anything he put his mind to, all the while remaining humble. Instead, he would say "could you come look at something and see what you think"? For relaxation Brian enjoyed year-round camping, fishing, motorcycle riding, and finding new places to explore with his wife Naomi, who was always by his side in Northern MN and wherever life took them. He loved being in the woods and cutting trees, following in the footsteps of his Granny Lil. Brian loved a broad range of music, animals, and springing one-liner jokes to everyone.

Brian was a serious Bible student and regularly assembled with fellow Jehovah’s Witnesses at the kingdom halls and conventions. Of most importance in his life, he placed his hope for the future in his God Jehovah and His Son Christ Jesus. This wonderful hope he shared with all he met.

Brian is survived by his wife of 19 years, Naomi; his parents, Jim and Helen Rupp; brothers, Eric (Tawny) Rupp and Michael (Josie) Rupp; and his nieces and nephews whom he loved very much, along with aunts, uncles, cousins, and numerous friends.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm (Central Time) on Saturday, January 11, 2025, at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, located at 102 S 14th Ave W, Virginia, MN 55792.
