He was the former owner of Dail Cars and Trucks. He was a painter for 15 years.
Charles is survived by his wife, Patricia Roach Dail; one step-son, Christopher Mark Smith of New Bern; two step-daughters, Bethany Smith Golden of Wilmington and Jennifer Smith Maxam of Beaufort; one brother, James Dail of New Bern and six step-grandchildren.
A visitation will be held at Cotten Funeral Home on Sunday, December 1, 2013 from 3:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 930 B Wellness Drive, Greenville, NC 27834.
