David William Hoggan

He is predeceased by his son Ian Hoggan.

David was born May 26, 1932 in Cupar Fife, Scotland. Growing up in Scotland he was a boy scout and learned to play the bagpipes. He served in the Royal Air Force and was a member of the Air Force Pipe band. Dave and his family immigrated to New York in 1961.Dave spent most of his life working as a plumber and building manager. He was an avid salt water fisherman and was eager to share his catch with his neighbors and local nursing home. In 1995 Dave and his family retired to New Bern, North Carolina. He was a master mason of lodge no.19 Cupar Fife, Scotland.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Jean B. Hoggan; one son, Allan Hoggan and his wife Vickie of New Bern.

A memorial service will be held at Cotten Funeral Home on Tuesday, July 2, 2013 at 7:00pm. The family will receive friends one hour prior at the funeral home.
