

on May 21, 1944, in Abington, PA to Mary (Stanton) Connolly and Allen Connolly.
Dennis was a 1962 graduate of Bishop McDevitt High School in Wyncote, PA. He obtained his Marketing
degree from St. Joseph’s College (University) in Philadelphia. A true patriot, Dennis served in the US
Navy aboard the USS Saratoga during the Vietnam War. Dennis advanced his career as a business owner
of McGuckin & Pyle, Inc. of Downingtown, PA. Dennis enjoyed boating on the Chesapeake Bay and was
an avid golfer the majority of his life, however, his greatest joy was his family.
He is survived by Patricia Ann (Jones) Connolly, his loving wife of nearly 55 years, his two sons, their
spouses, and 6 grandchildren all residing in New Bern, NC: Keith Alexander Connolly, wife Lara Jane
(Meneses) Connolly and their sons William, Samuel, Andrew, and Evan; Brian Andrew Connolly, wife
Julia Christine (von Clef) Connolly and their sons Matthew and Patrick. Dennis is predeceased by his
mother, Mary (Stanton) Connolly, his father Allen Connolly of Abington, PA, and his brother Eugene
Connolly of Quakertown, PA.

A celebration of life for family and friends will be held on April 6, 2023 at St. Paul Catholic Church, 3005
Country Club Road, New Bern, NC 28562, starting at 2:00pm for a 1 hour visitation with a Memorial
Service immediately following. A private interment will be held at Jacksonville National Cemetery at a
later date.
