Elaine was a beautiful woman with a vibrant personality that brightened any room she walked into. Often know as the “life of the party,” Elaine had many friends and enjoyed time spent with them, especially playing cards weekly with her “Steel Magnolias”. She enjoyed reading, going to the beach and the theater and she volunteered at the New Bern Civic Theater. She joined the Newcomers Club when she first moved to New Bern from New Jersey in 2001. She made numerous friendships with others in the club. She loved to cook and entertain for her family and friends. She enjoyed crafting and painting with her daughters and shopping in thrift stores. She would always find the best “treasures” as she had a great eye for decorating.
Memorial service will be 2 pm Wednesday, July 20, 2016 at Cotton Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends following the service.
Elaine is survived by her husband, Vincent “Vinny” DiGiulio; two daughters, Karin Joseph and her husband Richard of New Bern, and Leah Manziano of Ft. Lauderdale, FL. Elaine has eight grandchildren, Philip, Daniel, Jenna, Robert, Malorie, Patrick, Mattison, and Joseph; and four great-grandchildren, Lillian, Chase, Harper, and Meadow. She is preceded in death by her daughter Jody DeMaria, and great-grandson Landon Jody D’Annibale.
