Memorial services will be 2:00 pm Tuesday January 23, 2024 at the Lakeside Chapel of Greenleaf Memorial Park and will be conducted by Rev. Angel Lorton.

Survived by sons and daughters, Rhonda Sue Bloomberg, Thomas Christopher Guice Sr., Barbara Renee Simpson and Jimmy Carroll Guice Jr. Sisters Shirley Todd, Brenda Mixon, Susie Billings, and brother William Grant. Grandmother to ten grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren. Preceded in death by her brothers and sisters, Eugene Grant, Ernest Grant, Kenneth Grant, Charlie Grant Jr, Wanda Jones, and Debbie Warren.

Born in Robbins, Tennessee, she was the oldest daughter of 12 born to Charlie and Opal Grant.

Many in the community knew Faye as the manager of multiple local convenient stores through the 1980s after her return to New Bern in 1978.

In her younger years, she was an avid fisherman and enjoyed teaching her children how to fish and enjoy the outdoors. Many weekends were spent at Atlantic Beach enjoying the day at Fort Macon.

Faye’s favorite pastime in her older years was playing Beach Bingo, where many tried to sit next to her because she would win often.
