Freddie Silva

He was a member of Cherry Branch Community Church and was active with the Matthew 25 Ministry. He was a U.S. Marine Corp Veteran with 20 years of service.

Freddie is predeceased by parents, Fred and Josie Silva; his brother, Carl Silva; and sister, Virginia Kleeber.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Patricia Silva; sons, Freddie Silva Jr. and wife, Karen, of Charlotte, NC, and Jeff Silva and wife, Tasha, of Augusta, GA; daughters, Josie Bloom and husband, Tom, of Garner, NC, and Cindy McCaffity, and husband, Chris, of Morehead City, NC; brother, Donald Silva of CA; sister, Linda Perry of GA; nine grandchildren, Nicole Bloom, Tommy Bloom, Sean Bloom, Cynthia Alfonso, Daniel Silva, Freddie Silva, Angelica Silva, Crystal Silva, and Corey Kelva; and four great-grandchildren, Rafael Bloom-Pacheco, Cristian Bloom-Pacheco, and Sofia Beasley and Cristina Alfonso.

The visitation will be held at Cotten Funeral Home on Thursday, August 8, 2019 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 9, 2019 at Cherry Branch Community Church, 1490 Ferry Road, Havelock, NC 28532. Burial will follow at Coastal Carolina state Veterans Cemetery in Jacksonville at 2:00 p.m.
