Wade was a gentle and loving man who will forever be remembered for the joy and laughter he brought to those who were fortunate enough to know him. He loved to sing and play many instruments, his favorite being his guitar and drums.
Wade was a kind and compassionate father and grandfather and he was, more than anything, his “Mama’s Boy”. He will be dearly missed by those he left behind, but we take comfort in knowing that one day we will see him again.
He is survived by his children, Casey Wetherington and Wade Floyd; daughter-in-law, Kyla; grandchildren, Grace Floyd, Elisa Wetherington, Isaac Wetherington, Jacob Wetherington, Tyler Wetherington, Jacob Martel, and Ethan Martel; mother, Margie Harris; siblings, Linda Boyd (Danny), Mary Kelly (Dwayne), Wayne Floyd (Vicki), and Shawn Harris (Beverly); and many nieces, nephews and friends.
He is preceded in death by his daughter, Kelli Mauer and grandson, Brandon Martel; sister Darlene Ipock, bonus father, J.B. Harris and father, Hillary Floyd.
The family will receive visitors from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm on Friday, October 27, 2023, at the Lakeside Chapel at Greenleaf Memorial Park. The service will begin at 2:00 pm with Rev. David McAnelly. Wade will be laid to rest at Greenleaf following the service.
Cotten Funeral Home is honored to serve the family and friends of Gary Wade Floyd Sr.
