Hans "Fred" Friedrich Wasner

Hans graduated from Midwood High School and enlisted in the US Army the same year. He was very proud to be a member of the 57h AHC Gladiators. He was a customer engineer. In his spare time enjoyed listening to music and creating furniture pieces.

Thankful for his life and continuing in his memory are his beloved wife of 54 years Carolann Wasner, sons Fred Wasner and his wife Tracy and Mike Wasner, daughter Dawn Wasner, and grandchildren Michael, William, Freddy, and Harvey.

He is predeceased by his mother Katarina and his brother Werner.

A special thanks to all the medical staff in New Bern and Chapel Hill. Cancer is a horrible disease but the professionals we met always made him comfortable and shared in his sense of humor.

In lieu of flowers Hans had a special place in his heart for Tunnel to Towers, Wounded Warriors and St. Jude.
