Beloved brother of Michael Warner (Jean) of Spartanburg, SC, and Annette Warner Smith of Fairfax, VA, he is also survived by his nieces and nephews, Ronald, Thomas and Alfred Smith, Michael Warner, Jr., Mary Beth Watts and Rebekah Watson, ten great nieces and nephews and six great-great nieces and nephews.
He served his country in the U.S. Air Force and he graduated from East Carolina University. James was a member of St. Paul Catholic Parish.
The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff of CarolinaEast Medical Center.
A memorial mass service will be held at 1:00 pm Friday, October 9, 2015 at St. Paul Catholic Parish.
