Jean Kellum DeBruhl

Jean Marilyn Kellum DeBruhl October 15, 1928 – January 15, 2023 Jean Marilyn Kellum DeBruhl, age 94, of Brookstone Living Center in Pollocksville, North Carolina left this world to be with her Lord and her family on Sunday, January 15, 2023. Jean was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved the Lord and her church family at Rhems Methodist Church. She taught Sunday School and was the church treasurer for many years. She loved to cook and when there was a church dinner she was expected to bring her fresh apple cake which was a favorite. She enjoyed working in her flowers and in her earlier years always had a huge vegetable garden that she shared. We thank God for being a part of her life. She will surely be missed but there is a great celebration and family reunion going on in heaven right now. Everything is as it should be. Jean was preceded in death by her husband Manley P. “Polly” DeBruhl and her granddaughter Melissa Jo Clay. She is survived by her daughter Marilyn “Jody” White and husband Doug White. The family would like to thank the staff at Brookstone for the loving care they gave Jean. They were good to her, and they were good to us. She loved them all. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
