We had so many fun times. I will never forget how you invited me to vegas and made me participate in getting hypnotized in front of a group of complete strangers. You were the life of the party!!  So many good memories. Cheers to you my friend. Much love and hugs. Xoxo


Our letter to Joan...First there is no possible way we could ever say just how much you mean to us in 2,000 words. We simply cannot process the thought of your being gone, we don’t want to. You came into our lives almost 15 years ago as our cool, spunky neighbor. Backyard BBQs, deck parties, neighborhood get-togethers, DIY projects, a shared love for decorating, and a “neighborhood cat” by the name of Kiki made us family in no time. You loved to entertain, and girl, you were the best at it!! Don’t get me started on your decorating skills! You were selfless and always there for us for whatever. You took me to doctors appointments, made dinner for my family in time of need, spoiled my kids every chance you got and even let me and Kiki live with you and Dean while we were in the process of moving. I love the stories of your life, the places you had been and the crazy things you’ve done. You were so full of life and always up for anything. I want to be more like you, always have, always will. You were so put together, confident, not afraid of anything. You were beauty and grace. Thank you for putting Chad in his place repeatedly. He met his match with you...y’all are so much alike (sorry, but it’s true). He could relate best to your sense of humor and quick sarcasm!! He really does love you by the way, we all do. Thank you for introducing Chad and I to Vegas and including us in your and Dean’s  “Elvis” wedding!! We will ALWAYS have Vegas, we will never forget it!! We just wish we could’ve gone with you and Dean more. We’ve  missed not having “Doan” (Joan and Dean) as our neighbors for a while now, there’s nothing quite like it and NO ONE compares to the two of you. We’re going to miss your infectious smile/laugh and the way you always lit up a room. We are simply going to miss your presence - you are a presence!! We have sooo many memories with you and Dean, it’s a chapter of our lives that we will cherish forever.  Fly high sweet Joanie-Joan. We LOVE you!!!!

Martin, my condolences to you and your family during such a time as this.  I know that the roads ahead are going to be rough but you can Trust and believe that God Will comfort and give you the strength to make it through.

To all those who have known and loved Joan for a long time--I offer you all my deepest sympathy and incessant prayers for you during your time of loss. Although Joan came into my life less than six months ago, she came in like a whirlwind of sunshine and joy and I will never forget her and she will deeply be missed. Joan has touched my life in such a short amount of time, and I am glad to have met her--she definitely came into it for a reason and she has shown me a lot about how to live life on a daily basis. Joan was so excited to join my company, United Real Estate Coastal Rivers, and it was without a doubt she was going to have a long prosperous career in the field of Real Estate. She fully intended to bring the good to Real Estate, and to go above and beyond for everyone she met. She had this effect on a lot of our other agents as well, and Joan, we fully intend on carrying on what you intended and fulfilling the things you wanted to do here. We love you, will miss you very much, and look forward to the day we can see your beautiful smiling face again.

Joan was a wonderful person. She and I had many wonderful conversations and lunches full of laughter on our lunch breaks. I am truly saddened for the families loss and I pray God’s comfort and peace for her family.

My thoughts and prayers go out to the family.  I only met Joan once but she had the prettiest smile and made you feel like she had known you forever. RIP sweet lady God gained a beautiful angel.
