He attended Temple Baptist Church and he was a member of the Artisan Lodge of Wichendon.
He is survived by his wife, Alice McMillan; daughter, Marianne Vandermeer and husband, Albert of New Bern; six grandchildren: Jonathan Cary Hayward, Ryan James Hayward, Pieter Eric Vandemeer, Martin Edward Vandemeer, Willem Dirk Vandemeer and Beatrix Emma Vandemeer and one great-granddaughter, Catherine Renee Hayward.
Visitation will be Thursday, April 4, 2013 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Cotten Funeral Home. Interment will be at Hillside Cemetery in Rindge, New Hampshire at a later date.
