George was born December 29, 1926 in Baltimore, MD. A WWII veteran, he proudly served in the US Navy and retired after 20 years in the service. George was known for his kindness and was a friend to all who knew him. He was known to neighbors of Cypress Shores for his daily bike rides and treats.
George is survived by his daughter, Debi Corriher, her husband, Michael Corriher, his son, Glen Besa, and his wife, Tyla Matteson, granddaughter, Krista Corriher, great granddaughter, Madison Corriher, his sisters, Eileen Palmer and Nancy Linhart (Butch) and brother David Besa (Cindy). He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Jeannette.
A celebration of George's life will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 24th at Cotten Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Jim Marshburn officiating. No flowers please.
