She was a member of Centenary United Methodist Church and a member of the New Bern Shrinettes. Margaret was also an avid golfer.
Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin Frank Weeks. She is survived by her two daughters, Joan Lynn Pordham-Honigman of Norristown, PA and Sharon Mae DeFranco of East Amherst, New York and two grandchildren, Philip A. DeFranco, Jr. and John A. DeFranco.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, August 11, 2011 at Homeplace Assisted Living with Reverend Bryan Huffman officiating.
The family will provide flowers and is requesting that memorial donations be made in Margaret’s memory to The Shriners Hospitals for Children, 2900 Rocky Point Dr., Tampa, FL 33607 or online at www.shrineshospitalsforchildren.org.
