She was a member of St. Mary’s FWB Church, where she served as President of her Star Group, Chairman of the food committee for bereaved homes and a member of the Ruby Hancock Sunday School Class. She also served on the Women’s Auxiliary of Spring Hope FWB Church.
Patty was preceded in death by husband Noah Veston Cayton, and daughter Linda Cayton Hill. She is survived by her children, Ricky Cayton and wife Tina and Vicky Smith and husband Rex all of New Bern; six grandchildren, Paula Hill, Patty Hill, Ryan Hill, Kimberly Cayton, Sarah Cayton, and Richard Cayton; four great-grandchildren Dawn Hill, Christopher Hill, Johnnie Mansour, Christian Cayton and one great-great-grandchild, Danielle Hill.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 22, 2011 from 6:00 ~ 8:00 PM at Cotten Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, June 23, 2011 at Cotten Funeral Home with Reverend Charles Renfrow officiating. A private Entombment will be held at Greenleaf Memorial Park.
