Dr Tourigny healed my liver disease after 3 attempts in my past.  He also took care of my last colonoscopy in 2009.  I am sharing my message for it is time for a colonoscopy and I was told at my local doctors office here in Morehead City on Wednesday (5/1/2019) that Dr Tourigny was no longer with us.  I told her that is not possible for he is the best, nicest doctor I have ever had.  I did see him a couple of years ago and he found a very small hernia.  To his family and friends, I am sorry for your loss and sorry that I will no longer see that beautiful smile.  God Bless everyone in this day and age. 

Today as I went to my appointment in Pollocksville, I learned of Dr. Tourigny's passing. I wanted to cry. He was our son Steven's doctor for a few years when we lived in Morehead City. Dr. Tourigny took such good care of Steven and he was always so pleased with his visits with him. His patience and kindness were so appreciated. 
I will be sure to keep Dr. Tourigny and his Family in my prayers. He was such a good doctor and a special person.

Found out Tuesday. Never thought of a Dr. as a geat friend. but over the 20 years he's been our Dr. that's what he truly became. Rest well dear friend.

Just learned about the passing of Dr. Tourigny, a wonderful man and excellent doctor. He has been performing my endo procedures and keeping check on my Barrett's esophagus for many years. This man was one of the top physicians in his field and will be sorely missed by many. To his family, please accept my condolences and God bless all of you!

I have just learned of this wonderful Doctors passing, he was such a wonderful help to me with my DX this past summer, he helped me over all the stumbling blocks.To his wonderful  wife that I also had the pleasure of meeting this past aug, My deepest Sympathies to you and all of the family.

We have just learned of Paul's passing and are deeply sorry for the loss. Our prayers are with the entire family.

He will be missed Greatly.  Just heard yesterday and we are in shock.

I just heard this evening about the passing of Dr.Tourigny and my heart literally sank! It's been over a year since I last saw him but he was always so kind and genuine, even though as a Pharmaceutical Sales Representative, I didn't have products specifically for his area of practice. He even shared with me his concerns about his cat who passed a few years ago.  My sincerest condolences to the family. I know he is already missed and I pray that God's loving embrace and unending peace will be manifested in the hearts of each member of his loving family.  Cherish fond memories.

Dr. T, many years ago we met while working at Naval Hospital. My immunization clinic was just next door to his office and the crying tots got on his nerves more days than one, often asking me and others in the clinic how we could handle those screaming babies everyday. It was so bad on him he requested extra insulation between his offices and ours, and somehow convinced the navy to install it for him! 
I learned to never underestimate that short doc! He never hesitated to give us a hand if needed and we never hesitated to do standbys with him if none of his nurses were around. When he left he told me he was going to work at ECIM and and told me to drop by and See his new home. After many years we crossed paths again when he did my endo and sigmoid. I received great care and like everyone else he called me to make sure I was ok the next day. He never failed to speak to me when we ran into each other, no matter where it was. His love of medicine and his patients was a positive sign of the great friend he could be, and he never forgot the years we worked together and the funniest moments we shared during those years. I am truly sad to hear of his passing but I know that he is one step closer to God and that his love for people and his patients will live on in the hearts of his wife and son as well as his friends, co workers, and the people who he worked with during his time in the navy. I am very proud to have known him and to have known the man behind that prestigious Doctor name. My condolences to his family friends and co-workers.

He will truly be missed. He has been my doctor for over 20yrs and my heart goes out to his family. He was family to me and will be lost without his presence. He was full of life and never let me leave him without a smile on my face. He will always be a part of me.

As was said of JFK, he had every gift but length of years.  What a huge wake he left in the lives of others, including our family.  One of the stories he told was about his uncle, who served on a Vatican commission to determine the authenticity of the Shroud of Turin.  Dr. Paul knows the answer for sure now.

We are so sorry for your loss,  Dr. Paul was the most compassionate and caring doctor for his patients and will be missed greatly in our community. It is with great regret that we heard of Dr Tourigny's passing.  He served my husband well during his struggle thru a medical treatment that with his help was completely resolved. Dr. Tourigny was a hIghly respected physician, mentor, and friend that I worked with for many years and will truly miss. He consistently maintained a calm, compassionate, unpretentious persona, whether he was dealing with patients or staff members. In all the years I have known him, he made it unequivocally known how important his family was to him. Even though many of us had never met his son, Stephen or wife, Stacy, it's as if we all knew them equally just the same. So very sorry to hear of the passing of Dr. Tourigny.  Very nice DR..  He  did both of my  procedures at  ECIM at Berne Square.  Very nice person to talk to and thought it was nice when he called me himself at home to see how I was doing that night.  My daughter is a Dr. of CHIROPRACTIC in Trenton N.C.  Dr. Ashley Simpson and my brother is also a CHIROPRACTOR in New Bern and they do the same thing, they call their patients at home after care.  It really says a lot about a person.  He was a great Dr. and enjoyed getting to know him.  You and your family will be in my thoughts and prayers.

Words cannot express how much Dr. Tourigny will be missed. He was a brilliant man, amazing physician, & wonderful person! He cared so deeply for his patients & always went above & beyond for them. I am blessed to have been able to work with him, learn from him, & laugh & joke with him at work. I will never look at the Florida Gators, blue & orange, the old Rudolph the Rednosed Reindeer movie, Big Bang, a vibrant colored dress shirt and funky patterned matching tie, or see a red BMW the same way again :-) He will be missed by his patients & the rest of his work family as well as by so many others.

I worked with Dr. Tourigny in Endo/Opu at the hospital.He was an excellent gastroenterologist and had a great sense of humor. I am so sorry for the loss to his family and with the community who loved him. He always spoke of Stephen and Stacey with such caring. Paul, Stacy and Stephen were the best neighbors when we lived on Somerset Court. I would like to thank God for providing us with a Man of Doctor Tourigny's caliber.  On a personal note, my wife had been diagnosed with a condition that was destroying her liver.  Mayo had given her 6 months. "Dr T" took on her care when we brought her home.  Under his care she lived for almost 4 years..I will be eternally grateful.  To his family, we all owe him so much and are thankful you shared him with us.

May God comfort your family in this very sad time. I had the great privilege to work with Dr Tourigny at the Naval Hospital Camp Lejeune and more recently saw him with my mother-in-law in New Bern.  He was a great physician and person--he always cared deeply for his patients.

So sorry for your loss. I did not work closely with Dr. Tourigny as I work in the pollocksville office but the few dealing I did have with him were very pleasant and only heard good things about him as a physician. I know he will be greatly missed by all who knew him and express my deepest sympathies.
