Rebecca Spear Ormond

Becky was born on October 8, 1964, in Greenville, NC. She was the third of five children born to Mary Saulter Spear and the late Preston Grey Spear. Becky loved gardening, especially her roses. She loved singing in the choir and praise team at Temple Baptist Church. She loved working at Ward and Smith PA as their long time Records Clerk. Her greatest joy was taking care of her family. Their joy and well being were most important to her. She enjoyed giving the perfect gifts to the people she loved. Her favorite thing in her life was spending time with her family.

She is survived by her husband, Dale Anthony Ormond, of New Bern and her two children, Brandon Anthony Ormond of Raleigh, NC and Austin Lee Ormond and wife Sandra of New Bern, NC, and one granddaughter, Victoria Ormond of New Bern, NC. She is also survived by her brother, Rusty Spear and wife Pat of Wilmington, NC, her sisters, Robin Spear Nobles and husband Kermit, Rhonda Spear Nobles and Kristy Spear Nesbitt, all of New Bern, NC, one niece, and five nephews.

A service will be held Thursday, May 2, 2019 at Cotten Funeral Home at 11:00 AM. Following the service, a burial for Becky will be held at Braxton Family Cemetery, Maul Swamp Road, Vanceboro, North Carolina.
