

He proudly served the United States Marine Corp, retiring in 1977 after serving several combat missions in Vietnam, which earned him 4 stars. He was a member of Reformation Lutheran Church. His greatest love was his church and helping the needy. He loved cooking for the homeless at St. Andrews Church, serving in the men’s group and taking care of the church property. After retiring from the Marines, he earned a degree in electrical engineering.
He is survived by his children, Annette Reigle of Phelps, NY; Mary Killian of Wisconsin; Janet Howard of Blades, DE; Gene Buszka of Trent Woods; Louis Soltis of Akron, OH; and Raymond Soltis of Portsmouth, VA; and 10 grandchildren.
Services will be held at Trinity United Methodist Church. There will be a visitation at the church from on Sunday, September 16, 2012 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. There will be a funeral service at the church on Monday, September 17, 2012 at 6:00 p.m.
