Ruby Lee Coker Monette

Ruby Lee Coker Monette 84, of New Bern, NC passed away to her peaceful heavenly home on Wednesday July 19, 2017. She was a sweet and beautiful loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was an angel on earth for all of those who ever met her, whether it was at E.E. Monette’s Grocery Store or as a door greeter at Walmart. She never met a stranger and left a lasting impression on everyone.

Ruby is preceded in death by her husband Edward Earl Monette, parents George and “Lizzie” Coker, three sisters Susie, Ollie Mae, Jeanette and three brothers Hugh Erbie, Boyd, and Pete. Ruby is survived by her daughter Suzanne and husband Billy Price, three grandchildren Matthew Price and girlfriend Lauren, Randy Price and wife Alicia with their three children MaKenzie, Savannah, and Caelyn , and Sherry Byl and husband Case with their two children Keira and Adrianna.

The family will receive friends at Cotten Funeral Home from 6-8 pm on Tuesday night July 25, 2017. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday July 26th at 3 pm at Cotten Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Pollocksville Cemetery.
