Tracy Alan Gaskins

Tracy Alan "Tray" Gaskins, 37, of New Bern, passed away on Wednesday, May 23, 2018. He was a gifted artist and talented musician who could draw most anything and loved playing tunes by the Beatles and KISS. He was seldom seen without his guitar in hand. Tray graduated from New Bern High School in 1999 and was a student of history, always posting what happened on "this day in history" to his Facebook. One of his favorite past times was cooking for family and friends and experimenting with new dishes.

He is survived by his parents, Joey and Carol Gaskins; two sisters, Crystal G. Woodcock and April M. Lewis; paternal grandparents, Ed and Dorothy Gaskins; and numerous nieces and nephews. Sadly, he was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Ralph and Irene Wetherington.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, May 28th at Cotten Funeral Home. Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 29th at Cotten Chapel with Rev. Rex Bennett officiating. Burial will follow at New Bern Memorial Cemetery.
