

She was born on Oct. 12, 1926, in Craven County, NC to the late George Howard Lamm and Betty Hardison Lamm. She is preceded in death by her husband, John Luther Ipock, brothers Luby R. S. Lamm, Howard Leslie Lamm, Willie Mann Lamm and sister Georgia Lamm Wood. She is survived by sons George Luther Ipock and wife Stella of Rocky Mount, NC, Harry James Ipock of New Bern, NC, Rocky Ray Ipock of Fayetteville, NC, John Timothy Ipock and wife Debbie of New Bern, NC, eight grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren.
Virginia was well known for her pecan pies that she would bake during the Christmas Holiday. She was a devoted mother and grandmother to all. She was a farmer’s wife who helped in the fields and provided for her family as a great homemaker. In addition, she retired from Belks after many years of service. Up until the past few years, she was always ready to take a trip with anyone she could talk into it, even driving until she was in her mid 80’s. She was a faithful member of Jasper Christian Church and truly loved her church family.
The family will receive friends at Bethany Christian Church of Jasper, 3475 NC Hwy. 55 West, New Bern, NC 28562 at 1:00pm on Friday, August 28, 2015 with the funeral beginning at 2:00 pm with the Rev Lee Kirkman officiating. Burial will follow at Greenleaf Memorial Park in New Bern, NC. The family will receive friends at other times at the home of Timmy and Debbie Ipock of 310 Sim Dawson Road, New Bern, NC 28562.
