She was a lifelong resident of New Bern.
She is survived by her son, Lee Hunnings, one brother, Billy Yates and one sister, Phyllis Y. Tillman, all of New Bern; and two grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm Thursday, February 9, 2012 at Centenary United Methodist Church.
