She was a devoted wife, loving mama, grandma and homemaker. She loved to crochet, arts and crafts and enjoyed gardening and flowers

She is predeceased by her son Donald Travis Harper, Sr, grandson Christopher Daniel Harper, and parents Samuel and Lillie Mae Hoffman.
She is survived by her husband Donald T. Harper, Sr. of 41 years; son Warren Harper; daughter Amanda Grace Hartfelder; brothers Glenn Hoffman and Ken Hoffman; sister Sheila Reece; and grandchildren Zackery, Trent, Brenna, Bubba, Madison and Allyson.
The funeral service will be 11:00 am Wednesday, October 18, 2017 at Faith United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow the service in Pinelawn Cemetery in Kinston.
