He had a love of hats that extended back to even before he could walk and talk and couldn't resist shopping for them (and shoes) whenever he got the chance. He loved reading (especially Stephen King) and had a great collection of Garfield comic books when he was younger. He also loved music, WWE and going to the movies. His favorite late-night snack was a grilled cheese sandwich, which he often asked his mom to make for him. His quick-witted humor (which he got from his dad) brought laughter to his family and friends, even when they were the recipient of his one-line zingers. He was loved by many and will be missed.
William is survived by his son, Ashton Hobbs (Terra) of Aiken, SC; daughters, Shauna Hobbs of New Bern and Sophia Jenkins of Aiken; parents, Randall and Debra Hobbs of New Bern; sisters Connie Harms (Jane Wells) of Wagener, SC and Tanya Harms (Brynn) of New Bern; stepdaughter, Allison McAdams; and stepson, Wesley McIntosh.
