Agnes Knight

Agnes Howell Knight, 93, of New Braunfels, TX passed away Thursday, February 5, 2015 with her husband by her side. Agnes was born in Memphis,TN on October 28, 1921. On March 29, 1941, she married the love of her life, Jack Douglas Knight. Jack's time in the military took them to many places across the United States but they ultimately ended up in New Braunfels in 1984 to be near family. Agnes was the ultimate homemaker. She loved to cook and she was always taking cookies to someone to put a smile on their face. In her younger years she was an excellent seamstress and would make her daughter and granddaughter beautiful, one-of-a-kind outfits. Later she took up needlepoint and would make pillows and pictures for herself as well as gifts for others. She was preceded in death by 4 sisters and 1 brother. She is survived by her husband of nearly 74 years; daughter Jackie Kunkel and husband Larry Kunkel; granddaughter Tammy Pfeuffer and husband David Pfeuffer; as well as two great grandchildren Erika and Emma Pfeuffer; also by Jeff Kunkel, wife Terri, children Julia and Garrett. The family would like to thank the staff at Christus Santa Rosa New Braunfels, especially Caroline. We would like to thank the staff and physical therapy unit at Eden Hill for their care and concern for our beloved Mamau. Hope Hospice was also a great help in our time of need.

A Graveside Service will be held 10:00 AM Monday, February 9, 2015 at Guadalupe Valley Memorial Park with Reverend Harold Sassman officiating.
