Ann Lou (Hillert) Tschirhart

Ann was born in New Braunfels to Walter Hillert and Hulda Borchers on February 12, 1937. She graduated from New Braunfels High School in 1955. Ann married Leonard Leo Tschirhart on January 27, 1961 in New Braunfels. She worked as an administrative assistant for Cox & Smith, Attorneys at Law for more than 40 years in San Antonio, TX. Ann volunteered for the New Braunfels Visitors Center and was a Board Member of the Mission Valley Community Center. She was also an active member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in New Braunfels.

Ann will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, cousin, aunt, and friend. She loved baking, gardening, bowling, traveling, and spending time with her family and friends.

Ann is preceded in death by her husband Leonard, her son Gary Tschirhart, her brother Allen Hillert, and her sister Kathleen Hillert.

Ann is survived by her sons David Tschirhart and wife Dawn of Dale, TX, and John Tschirhart and wife Melanie of McKinney, TX, and her daughter-in-law Maryse Barret of Paris, France. Her grandchildren are Nina Lou, Josephine, Mark, Katherine, and William and great-grandchild Gabrielle Lou.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 13th from 5-7pm at Zoeller Funeral Home in New Braunfels.

A celebration of life and funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 14th at 10am at St. Paul Lutheran Church in New Braunfels. Burial will follow at Guadalupe Valley Memorial Park in New Braunfels. Arrangements made by Zoeller Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Mission Valley Community Center in New Braunfels, St Paul Lutheran Church in New Braunfels, or a charity of your choice.
