Ben Gilbert Buddy Ikels

Ben was truly the miracle child that his parents prayed for. Ben led a very full life enjoying and living each day to its fullest. Ben had a true love of sports, the outdoors, last but not least his family and friends. Over the years Ben had a multitude of achievements as a varsity athlete with the Navarro High School football teams, and as an avid advocate for Navarro FFA & 4-H or anything Ag related. He was always striving to be the best that he could be as a son, brother, friend, and all around great human being. This especially showed through his dedication to his job he exhibited such a strong work ethic. He was always serving others with hard work, respect, and integrity.

He is survived by his loving parents, Danny and Laura Ikels; sister, Emily Ikels; paternal grandmother, Virginia Ikels; aunts, Carolyn Pittman and husband Robert and Cathy Rivard and husband Joel; uncles, David Ikels and Douglas Ikels and wife Christine; numerous cousins. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Gilbert Ikels; maternal grandparents, Irvin Keller and Jacqueline Keller; and aunt Janice Newman.

A Memorial Service will be held 10:30 AM Saturday, September 15, 2018 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in New Braunfels. In lieu of flowers contributions may be given to Navarro FFA or to the Navarro athletic Department.
