Catarina Longoria

Catarina “Cata” Longoria, 93, of New Braunfels, passed away on Wednesday, January 28, 2015 in San Antonio, Texas. She was born to Aniceto Garcia and Maria (Bravo) Garcia in Seguin, TX on January 26, 1921.

Cata was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed many things but nothing more than spending time with family, friends and especially with her grandchildren. She loved to cook, and the kitchen was her favorite place as she lovingly made tamales and many other favorite dishes. She was very active at Primera Iglesia Bautista and later on at New Generations Church where she participated in many activities.

She is survived by her children, daughter, Maria Rajotte of Toronto, Canada; son, Raymundo Longoria and wife Elva of San Antonio, TX; nine grandchildren, Lisa Garcia, Larry Longoria, Raymundo Longoria, Jr., Cindy Longoria, Tony Rajotte, Marc Rajotte, Kim Rajotte, Ronnie Rajotte, and Mary Rajotte; twelve great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jesus Longoria and numerous brothers and sisters.

Public Visitation will begin 5:00 PM Thursday at Zoeller Funeral Home with a Prayer Service to begin at 7:00 PM. Funeral Services will be held 10:00 AM Friday, January 30, 2015 at Zoeller Funeral Home with Pastor Joe Tostado officiating. Interment will follow in Guadalupe Valley Memorial Park.
