Charlie started working at the young age of 16 at a meat market in New Braunfels. He eventually opened up his own meat market in Seguin called Charlie’s Meat Market. Charlie loved being a butcher and cooking for family and friends. He enjoyed competing in chili and BBQ cook offs. Charlie also owned and raced horses. He is going to be missed greatly.
Charlie was preceded in death by his parents Charlie and Elizabeth Seidel; and sisters, Lilian Lehmann and Lavern Henk; and best friend Carrasco. He was survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Carol Seidel; sisters, Lawrine Marek, Lenora Mueller, and Lugine Voss; daughters, Tina Smith (Paul), Trisha Gusoskey (Jason); and son, Jason Seidel (Kristin); grandchildren, Cooper O’Neal, Heather Pannell, Holly Lucas, Dru Gusoskey, Dade Gusoskey, Hunter Seidel, Colton Seidel, and Blake Seidel, and first great-grandchild, Alexander Beau Pannell; and dog, Cule, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Public visitation will be at Zoeller Funeral Home Tuesday, March 5, 2019 from 5:00-8:00 pm. The Funeral Service will be Wednesday, March 6, 2019 at 10:00 am at Zoeller Funeral Home. Burial will immediately follow at Guadalupe Valley Memorial Park.
