Daniel N. Balderas of New Braunfels, Texas, went to be with the Lord on September 10, 2021. He was born on October 27, 1951 in Edinburg, Texas and spent his youth in Pharr, Texas, graduating from PSJA High School in 1970.
Dan worked in the construction industry, retiring as a facility director from Abundant Life Christian Center in La Marque, Texas. He was a man of great faith. He loved serving the Lord; and doing everything with a spirit of excellence. He attended and graduated from Abundant Life School of Ministry. One of his favorite Scriptures was Psalms 84:12…”Blessed is the man that trusteth in the Lord.”
He had a great sense of humor; he loved putting smiles on people’s faces. He was a loving and caring son, husband, father, grandfather, and brother. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Sandy Balderas, daughter Elizabeth (Peter) Carlson of New Braunfels, son Christopher (Angela) Balderas of McQueeney, granddaughters, Olivia and Isabel Carlson, brothers George (Norma) Balderas of Pharr and Ralph Balderas of San Antonio. Also surviving are numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Rosalinda and Mariano Balderas, Jr and sister-in-law Rebecca Balderas.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 10am on Friday, September 17, at Zoeller Funeral Home, 615 Landa St, New Braunfel, Texas 78130. Visitation will begin at 9am, with a graveside service immediately following the Celebration Service, at Hill Country Memorial Gardens, New Braunfels, Texas.
