Dennis Scott Schneider, 55, of New Braunfels, Texas, passed away on Friday, February 9, 2018 in El Paso, Texas. He was born to Roland R. Schnieder and Dorothy Minor Schneider in San Antonio, Texas on October, 8, 1962.
In 1980 Dennis graduated from Amarillo High, then went on to play football for West Texas State University as a defensive lineman #98 in Canyon, Tx. After graduating college he joined the Navy and proudly served our country from 1987 to 1995 and received many honorable medals & awards. Dennis worked for Noresco for the past 18 years as a project manager in energy services.
Dennis was a big man and with that came a big heart, big hugs and lots of laughs. Dennis loved his family beyond measure and enjoyed nothing more than playing games being together. In his pastime, Dennis enjoyed riding his Harley motorcycle and traveling the country with his friends.
He is survived by his sister, Donna Hindman and fiancé Scot Rasmassen of Spring, Texas; brother, Alan Schneider of Spring Branch, Texas; niece, Amy Harmon and husband Jon; their daughter Kaylee of Spring, Texas; nephew, Tyler Hindman and wife Anna of Buda, Texas; and niece, Currie Luedecke and husband Jake; and their son Jett of Columbus, Texas; and numerous extended family members and a host of friends who he loved and cared for very much.
Pallbearers include Tyler Hindman, Michael Wolfshohl, Jerry Eastwood, Jake Ludecke, Jon Harmon, Scot Rasmussen and Honorary Pallbearer Alan Schneider.
Public visitation will begin 5:00 PM Thursday at Zoeller Funeral Home and will continue until 8:00 PM. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM Friday, February 16, 2018 at Zoeller Funeral Home with Pastor Rusty Rice officiating. Interment with military honors will be held 10:45 am, on Friday, March 2, 2018 at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
