Donna Louise Holmes went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at the age of 75. She was born in San Angelo, Texas to Morris Pickering and Mary Louise Cockerham. In October of 1960 Donna married her high school sweetheart, John Holmes in San Angelo at the Harris Avenue Baptist Church. She worked and retired from Texas Lutheran University, where she enjoyed being a librarian for over 20 years. Donna was a treasured member of New Braunfels Christian Church where she played a vital role in her church family. She lived out her faith through intercessory prayer and will always be remembered for her weekly cards and letters that were filled with words of encouragement. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Donna was preceded in death by her loving husband of over 30 years, John Holmes. She is survived by her sister, Lana Huckle, and brother, Terry West.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, February 3, 2018 at 2 pm at New Braunfels Christian Church, located at 734 North Loop 337.
