Doroteo Teo Lopez Rodriguez

Doroteo “Teo” age 73, of New Braunfels, “A mighty man of God” has gone to meet his Lord and Savior Monday, October 21, 2013 at his home surrounded by his family.

He was born on November 24, 1939 in Centerpoint, Texas to Santos Sr. and Benita Rodriguez.

A family man and a good servant, he was a man of faith. He touched the hearts of many. He was a loving, kind, and giving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather.

He was a member of the Holy Name Society, served in church ministries, and a volunteer worker.

He retired in 2008 from McKenna Memorial Hospital after 35 years.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Mathis, Jose, Santos Jr., and Aurelio Rodriguez, his sisters Silvestra Rodriguez and Isabell Esquibel.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Antonia Alvarez Rodriguez. His children Juan Rodriguez wife Mary Esther Rodriguez, Rosa Morales, Dagoberto Rodriguez, Maria Rodriguez, Rita Castilleja, 8 grandchildren, and 2 great granddaughters. His sisters Helen Cardenas, Vincenta Gonzales, Clara Gomez husband Melchor Gomez, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will begin at 5 pm Thursday, October 24, 2013 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church with a rosary at 7 pm Thursday evening. A funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, October 25, 2013 at 1pm at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church with entombment to follow in Sts. Peter and Paul Mausoleum.
