Dorothy Jean Strickland Kerlick

She is preceded in death by her parents, Homer & Florence Strickland and her husband of 54 years William "Buster" Kerlick Jr. She is survived by their two daughters, Brenda Kerlick of New Braunfels and Lorraine Kerlick of Austin, Texas;one son Randy Kerlick and wife, Judie of San Marcos, Texas; two grandchildren; one great-grandchild; one brother Gary Strickland and wife, Barbara of New Braunfels; two nieces; one nephew and numerous cousins.

She loved to travel, garden, fish and camp with her daughters. She also loved to can and won numerous blue ribbons at the county fair. She loved her dog "Brandie" very much along with feeding her pet deer in the backyard every evening. Sharing recipes with friends and family was another favorite past time.

A special thank you to Dr. Richard Newman, Dr. Charles Andrews, and Dr. Lisa Fichtel for their care and dedication.

Visitation will be from 2-4 pm on Sunday at Zoeller Funeral Home and funeral services will be Monday August 23, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at the Zoeller Funeral Home with interment at the Guadalupe Valley Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be given to American Cancer Society.
