

Gail was born on August 15, 1939, in Wichita Falls, Texas, to Martin Samuel Steinberger and Mertie Mae Lewis.
She grew up in Texas and carried a strong spirit and love for life with her wherever she went.
Gail worked in retail sales at Hemphill Wells in San Angelo, and later in the coat department at Dillard's Barton Creek in Austin. She earned the Pacesetter Award numerous times for her highest sales achievement.
Throughout her life, Gail was known as an astounding woman who worked hard and cared deeply for those around her. She was the matriarch of her family and a devoted mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
Gail had a vibrant personality—she loved to dance and spend time with friends & family. Her energy, laughter, and warmth lit up every room she entered, and she had a way of making everyone she met feel welcome and loved.
Gail was previously married to James Odes Arthur Lee Weller of Wichita Falls and later to Arthur F. Talamantes of San Antonio, Texas.
She is survived by her loving children: Mitzi Boyles of Marble Falls, Texas; Mike and Tracyne Burrer of Spring Branch, Texas; and Elizabeth Ann Mullins of Houston, Texas.
She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren: Jessica and Thomas Sandrisser, Casey Boyles, Cory and Emily Boyles, Jacob Mullins, and Sara Mullins. Her legacy continues through her great-grandchildren: Victoria and Jacob Dalbey, Marix Barrera, Vivienne Barrera, Jack Douglass Boyles, Maggie Boyles and Emerson Blake.
Gail was loved by so many people and will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her strength, laughter, and unwavering love for her family will forever remain in the hearts of those she touched.
Graveside services will be held on May 9, 2026, at Everman Cemetery in Everman, Texas. Family and friends are invited to attend and celebrate the remarkable life of Gail Lee Talamantes.
