Gilbert Campos Jr.

Lifetime New Braunfels resident, Gilbert Campos Jr. passed away July 11, 2015. He was 76 years old. Gilbert is preceded in death by his parents, Gilberto Campos Sr. and Elisa Morales Campos; and brother Cipriano Campos. Surviving loved ones are his wife, Librada Gonzales Campos; children Richard, Linda and David Javier; brother Jessie Campos; step-brother Moses Campos; step-sister Sara Campos; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. In high school, Gilbert was a member of the unicorn football, basketball, and baseball teams. He was also chosen to attend Boy's State. He was a member of the 1957 graduating class. Gilbert served his community as an honored New Braunfels Firefighter for 32 years. He enjoyed many activities such as umpiring, landscaping, fishing, and woodworking in his retired years. Visitation will be held, Monday, July 20 from 5 - 9 pm at Zoeller Funeral home. Funeral services will be held, Tuesday, July 21 at 10:00a.m at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints located at 1390 Hanz Drive. In lieu of flowers please make donations in honor of Gilbert Campos to the New Braunfels Firefighters Association or the New Braunfels VFW.
