John Philip Sorensen, of New Braunfels, passed away on Sunday, February 10, 2013 at Christus Santa Rosa Hospital in New Braunfels, at the age of 76. He was born on July 15, 1936 to John S. Sorensen and Elsa (Haag) Sorensen in Kingston, New York. He is survived by his loving wife, Linda Sorensen of New Braunfels; daughters, Lori Carter of Kingston, NY, Lynn Sorensen of Kona, HI, Lisa Sorensen-Wood of Kingsbury, TX and Lesli Byers of New Braunfels; son, John Sorensen, Jr. and wife, Debbie of New Braunfels; brother, Jens Eric Sorensen and wife Katherine of Kingston, NY; seven grand-children and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents.
A Memorial Service will be held at Cornerstone Church on Monday, February 18, 2013 at 10:00 am with Pastor John Hagee officiating. In lieu of flowers Memorial contributions may be given to Cornerstone Church, 18755 Stone Oak Pkwy, San Antonio, TX 78258.
