Judith Grim Spencer

After graduating from high school, Judy attended USC in Southern California getting a degree in English. In Los Angeles she met her husband, Robert Spencer. They were married and moved back to Iowa where they adopted 2 children: Suzi and David. Soon after moved to Texas where they lived in San Antonio for the rest of their lives.

Judy was a devoted wife, caring mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She loved spending time with her family and friends from the neighborhood as well as all of those she made over her lifetime. She really loved to travel in the US to see family and friends and different parts of the US, usually as a road trip. She was skilled at quilting and really got quite skilled and made blankets for everyone in the family.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents, Dawson and Wilma Grim; husband, Robert Charles Spencer; and sister, Sharon Grim. She is survived by her son, David Spencer; daughter Suzi Froelich, 6 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; and brothers, Pete Grim and Scott Grim.

A funeral service is scheduled for 10:30 am on December 1, 2023 at the Country Church in Marion Tx. A reception will follow at the Scenic Hills clubhouse. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to The Country Church.
