Mary Weldy Thomas (known to many as “Granny”) peacefully went to be with her Lord and Savior while surrounded by family on December 23rd at the age of 92. She was born in San Marcos Texas on October 4, 1922 to Elbert and Mary Williamson.
She was preceded in death by her first husband of 38 years, James H. Weldy and her second husband Robert Thomas.
She is survived by her daughter, Gayle Guerrero and husband Mario; son, Bruce Weldy and wife Cary; also 7 grandchildren, Sarah Gaus (Jimmy), Staci Strahl (Jeff), Shauna Mahany (Brian), Andrea McCann (Craig), Benjamin Guerrero (Stacy), Zachary Weldy (Kayla) and Samuel Guerrero (Kristi) plus 10 great-grandchildren and one brother, Charles Williamson and wife LaVerne and family.
Services will be held at Zoeller Funeral Home on Monday December 29th at 10am with burial to follow at Guadalupe Valley Memorial Park. Visitation will be Sunday December 28th from 5-7pm. Memorials may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
