Nancy George Smith passed away on July 17th, 2015 at her home. She was born on March 5th, 1956 in Chicago, IL and was adopted by Delbert and Marcellene George. She attended San Angelo State University, where she received her LVN (Licensed Vocational Nurse) degree. She worked as a nurse and enjoyed taking care of people. Nancy never met a stranger. She would talk to anyone, anywhere, about anything, no matter their class, color, or situation. She never passed judgment on anyone and accepted you just as you are. She was beautiful, clever, and didn’t care what people thought of her. No matter what she did, whether good or bad, she always did it with gusto and a twinkle in her eye. If you ever had the pleasure of meeting her, you know she was unforgettable. Nancy is preceded in death by her parents Delbert John George and Viola Marcellene (Luther). She is survived by daughters, Joleen E. Smith and husband John of Cedar Creek, TX and Abianna Smith and boyfriend Paul Daugherty of San Marcos, TX; son, Taylor Smith of New Braunfels, TX; sister, Jeannette Yue and husband Sing of Bakersfield, CA; and grandchildren, Paisley, Peyton, and Lorelei Smith. The Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, July 23rd at 10am at Zoeller Funeral Home. She loved Jimi Hendrix, so we say goodbye with “Fly on, little wing." Nancy, you’ll forever remain in our hearts.
