Nelda Jean Roggasch

Nelda Jean Roggasch, 71, of New Braunfels, died Saturday September 20, 2014 in a New Braunfels hospital. Jean was born April 2, 1943 in Houma, Louisiana to Greer and Aileen (Davis) Kimery. Jean was raised in Dunedin, Fla., and graduated from Clearwater High School in 1961. After attending Jackson Memorial Nursing School, she became a Registered Nurse, caring for others for over 40 years. Jean worked at an Army hospital in Germany, Veterans hospitals in Miami and San Antonio, and completed the last 30 years of her career at Northeast Baptist Hospital in San Antonio. She married Robert Roggasch November 11, 1995. They resided in New Braunfels, and were members of the First United Methodist Church.

She is preceded in death by her parents Greer and Aileen Kimery.

She is survived by her husband Robert, two daughters Cathy Gerhart and husband Keith of Clyde, and Susie Guckian and husband Rob of Selma, his daughters Natalie Henke and husband Doug of Floresville, Gina Roggasch and fiancé Ryan Johnson of Des Moines, Iowa, and Amanda Goettsch and husband Mike of New Braunfels, and nine grandchildren: Caylie, Kenley, Kaden, Riley, Ryan, Brooke, Mason, Tyson and Carson.

Visitation will be Wednesday, September 24, 2014 from 5 pm until 8 pm at Zoeller Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Thursday, September 25, 2014 at 2 pm at First United Methodist Church New Braunfels. Services will conclude at the church.
