Our beloved mother, Serafina Pineda Ledesma, age 93, gained her angel wings peacefully on Wednesday night, February 19, 2025 and received glorious eternal life. She had a strong faith and love for God. She was born on November 2, 1931 in Comal County where she resided her entire life.
She is preceded in death by husband Erasmo G. Ledesma, Sr., son Francisco Ledesma, Grandson Jesse Ledesma, Jr., parents Eduardo Pineda, and Paulina Pineda, siblings Eustacio Pineda, Eduardo Pineda, Jr., Juan Pineda, Onesimo Pineda, Francisco Pineda, Angela Gutierrez, Teresa Martinez, and Augustina Hernandez.
She is survived by her children Jesus Ledesma (Soila Maldonado), Mary Jane (Rudolfo Sanchez), Esther (Somsouk Opraseuth), Beatrice (John Rodriguez), Manuel Ledesma, Rosie (David Davila), Erasmo Ledesma,Jr.(Sylvia Luna), Sara Garcia (Charlie Rodriguez), Carmen and Irene, siblings Martin (Teresa) Pineda, Valente (Leandra) Pineda, Jesús Pineda, Maria (Guadalupe) Sanchez, Guadalupe Saldana and 39 nieces and nephews. She is also survived by 19 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren.
Serafina was a loving mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. She dedicated her life to her family. Through the years she traveled, alongside her husband, and had many memorable adventures with the family. She loved providing wonderful homemade meals; her kitchen was always open and ready to comfort family and friends. She gracefully raised ten caring, thoughtful children. She will be greatly missed; her stories will continue as memories are shared with her descendants. Her legacy of compassion and grace lives on in the hearts of those who knew her.
A visitation for Serafina will be held Wednesday, February 26, 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Zoeller Funeral Home, 615 Landa St, New Braunfels, TX 78130. A rosary will occur Wednesday, February 26 , 2025 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM, at Zoeller Funeral Home, 615 Landa St, New Braunfels. A funeral mass will occur Thursday, February 27, 2025 at 10:00 am at Our Lady of Perpetual Help,138 W Austin St, New Braunfels, TX. Interment will be at Guadalupe Valley Memorial Park, 2951 TX-46, New Braunfels, TX
