We were so sorry to hear of Bill's passing.  We enjoyed some good Bible study/small group times with you and Bill.

I am so sorry for your loss.  I will miss Bill so much and that impish grin of his.  We had a lot of fun over the year with Santa pictures and all his help with the blood drives.

Bill gave us the gift of his music, laughter and deep faith.  He will be missed and not forgotten,  


Many, many fond memories of Bill in the years before and after the happy day in this photo. Miles and years have separated me from all the Comptons; I’m still blessed to have had Bill in my and my family’s lives. Sending love, and prayers for peace and  comfort from Ohio. 

Spending time with Bill (and Marilyn) in Rockport, we learned how excited Bill was to be at the coast - fishing and taking in all the coastal experiences.  Jeff remembers  Bill grinning and ready for fishing action with his Zebco push button reel.  When Jeff caught a redfish that day, Bill was beyond himself with celebration.  Bill was always ready for what was to come next with an open mind and heart and Spirit.

I remember his visit to my bakery with his Daddy.  He was so loving to his Father and was going out of his way to provide his Daddy with a "sweet" experience.

Bill will be missed by us and am sure by many...love you Bill♥️

My memory of Bill is just being very cute as a baby and young child.  Always had a smile on his face .  All the cousins were able to know and love each other back in our younger days, due to our family Sunday lunch with our grandmother and parents.   He passed all this laughter on to his children and family.    Bill will be so missed by us all.

Bill always made me laugh...that will be my best memory of the time we spent together, with our families, in the 1980's, after graduating from TLC.  He had a lot of joy and loved to share it with everyone around him.  Rest in peace Bill.  Blessings and peace to all of his family.

So sorry to hear about Bill's passing.  Praying for his family and friends.  He often played with Die Grosse Kapella Orchestra in the 70s and 80s. He will be missed by many in New Braunfels. 


Bill was a conscientious and dedicated employee of Continental/Vitesco Technologies.  He captured many of the events and will be remembered by all.

Bill and I were born on the same day in the same hospital. We grew up together going to the same church. We had great fun with our church youth group, singing in the choir, going to church camp, and even played with friends in a teenage “rock” band - that had our big gig in Granfills Gap, Texas. When Donna and I got married, Bill beautifully sang the “Wedding Song” at our wedding. Most of my memories with Bill are from long ago. But it is obvious that since those younger years, Bill has continued to wonderfully enrich the lives of so many people as a husband, father, grandfather, and friend. This year, on our shared birthday, we messaged each other trying to see which one of us could remember how old we were.  He messaged me that his wife had said, he was “older than dirt”.  We shared laughing emojis. Donna and I pray that Marilyn and the family will find comfort at this time with their loving family memories. And please know that Bill helped so many others make wonderful memories as well.

Dad showed me the importance of making memories and preserving them. I have no lack of wonderful photographs because he passed that love of documenting life and the people I love. Dad, your laugh, fun spirit and importance of family will live on through generations to come!!

To Bill's family and friends, so very sorry for your loss.  I knew Bill and his family from many years at Highland Park Lutheran Church.  He was a wonderful fun-loving young person and he grew into a very wonderful man.  May your special memories comfort you always.

Bill was an inspiration to this family and someone to follow.  He was very talented musician and good Religions man.  He had the most wonderful parents to teach him all and he grew  to do the same with his own family.  Bill and Robert sang  at my Mom's Funeral and my husband funeral with such devotion and love.  This family has lost a lot but Bill has gained the entry into heaven.   I will never forget him,  Aunt Jane, Uncle Lee.  They are all together now.  My prayers go out to Marilyn and the kids. Robert and his family.   It will be a hard journey, but their faith will keep them strong.
